If, on the other hand, it must truly be said that Christian Baur and those who were his students or who worked with him to a greater or lesser extent proceeded with tremendous critical acumen, we must not forget a Bible scholar such as the historian and scholar Gfrörer, who claims that the Gospel originated from the Apostle John himself. He diligently shows how this Gospel in particular demonstrates in almost every sentence that it was written by an eyewitness or by someone who received its message from eyewitnesses. Gfrörer goes so far as to say, in his Swabian manner, that anyone who—according to his argument—does not believe that the Gospel originated with John cannot be in his right mind. He also speaks ill of those who say that it is not historical and then attack this Gospel with all manner of arguments.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"The Bible and Wisdom II","site_heading":null,"date":"1908-11-14","location":null,"word_count":153,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/57/1908-11-14/p007","alignment_confidence":"high","alignment_reason":"beads:identity","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"established","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"eLib2014","book_title":"Where and How Does One Find the Spirit?","publisher":null,"publisher_inferred":false,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA057/English/eLib2014/19081114p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line"},"edition_coverage":{"de":["original"],"en":["English"]},"available_versions":[{"lang":"de","edition":"original","edition_basis":null,"is_original":true,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/57/1908-11-14/p007"},{"lang":"en","edition":"English","edition_basis":null,"is_original":false,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/57/1908-11-14/p007","paragraph_aligned":true}],"record":{"record_type":"unknown","scope":"volume","note":"How this text was taken down (shorthand transcript, listeners' notes or manuscript) is not on record here. A name the German carries is absent here (or a name appears here that the German does not carry). Two things cause this and they need telling apart: the translation really drops or reassigns what the original distinguishes, OR the paragraph alignment paired the wrong passages. `bead_confidence` does NOT settle which: this corpus's embedding aligner pairs topically-related paragraphs at full confidence, and a sampled high-confidence mismatch proved to be a wrong pairing.
