We find that the whole mission of Moses, the whole power of Moses, through which he accomplished tremendous things for his people, is also based on a supersensible event; as we had to say the day before yesterday, that when the spiritual researcher develops himself so that he becomes clairvoyant in the spiritual world and can look into the spiritual background of things, he then sees what are facts of the spiritual world in images, in imaginations. Yes, one can also express the processes that take place within oneself when one ascends in this way into the spiritual realms only in images, but it must be clear that the one who speaks in such images does not want to speak about the images as such, but means that in these images one has the means of expression for one's supersensible experiences.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"The Bible and Wisdom II","site_heading":null,"date":"1908-11-14","location":null,"word_count":177,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/57/1908-11-14/p015","alignment_confidence":"high","alignment_reason":"beads:identity","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"established","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"eLib2014","book_title":"Where and How Does One Find the Spirit?","publisher":null,"publisher_inferred":false,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA057/English/eLib2014/19081114p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line"},"edition_coverage":{"de":["original"],"en":["English"]},"available_versions":[{"lang":"de","edition":"original","edition_basis":null,"is_original":true,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/57/1908-11-14/p015"},{"lang":"en","edition":"English","edition_basis":null,"is_original":false,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/57/1908-11-14/p015","paragraph_aligned":true}],"record":{"record_type":"unknown","scope":"volume","note":"How this text was taken down (shorthand transcript, listeners' notes or manuscript) is not on record here.
