There we see how Moses, the leader and guide of the people, finds himself face to face with his God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, who gives Moses the task of doing for his people what we then find happening as Moses' deed. In considering this, we are already faced with a fundamental theme of the entire Bible, namely the question: How are we to approach these two facts, which we have pointed out as supernatural facts that make any purely external investigation impossible, in order to gain a deeper understanding of this document? How are we to relate to this fundamental theme of the Bible in a spiritual-scientific sense? We will be able to penetrate it if we consider the content of Moses' revelation or experience.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"The Bible and Wisdom II","site_heading":null,"date":"1908-11-14","location":null,"word_count":150,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/57/1908-11-14/p016","alignment_confidence":"high","alignment_reason":"beads:identity","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"established","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"eLib2014","book_title":"Where and How Does One Find the Spirit?","publisher":null,"publisher_inferred":false,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA057/English/eLib2014/19081114p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line"},"edition_coverage":{"de":["original"],"en":["English"]},"available_versions":[{"lang":"de","edition":"original","edition_basis":null,"is_original":true,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/57/1908-11-14/p016"},{"lang":"en","edition":"English","edition_basis":null,"is_original":false,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/57/1908-11-14/p016","paragraph_aligned":true}],"record":{"record_type":"unknown","scope":"volume","note":"How this text was taken down (shorthand transcript, listeners' notes or manuscript) is not on record here.
