Let us take the feeling of disgust with which it rejects this or that as a sign that what underlies the health of the physical body, the astral body — which consists of feelings and sensations, impulses and desires — must also be healthy, and that when a deviation from health is observed in a person, attention must also be paid to the healing of the astral body. When these questions arise, do we really still ask today what the human soul experiences in relation to the outside world? The spiritual scientist must point out that, basically, it matters little whether a person who is ill with this or that is sent here or there because it is believed that the air or the light will have a healing effect on them for external mechanical or chemical reasons. Another, much greater question is whether I can bring him into an environment where he can experience joy, elation, and, in a certain sense, an illumination of his entire emotional life in a specific direction.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"Questions Regarding Health in Light of Spiritual Science","site_heading":null,"date":"1909-01-14","location":null,"word_count":192,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/57/1909-01-14/p025","alignment_confidence":"medium","alignment_reason":"beads:structural_identity","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"established","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"eLib2014","book_title":"Where and How Does One Find the Spirit?","publisher":null,"publisher_inferred":false,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA057/English/eLib2014/19090114p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line"},"edition_coverage":{"de":["original"],"en":["English"]},"available_versions":[{"lang":"de","edition":"original","edition_basis":null,"is_original":true,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/57/1909-01-14/p025"},{"lang":"en","edition":"English","edition_basis":null,"is_original":false,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/57/1909-01-14/p025","paragraph_aligned":true}],"record":{"record_type":"unknown","scope":"volume","note":"How this text was taken down (shorthand transcript, listeners' notes or manuscript) is not on record here.
