Pure feelings and impulses of will that correspond to the objective nature of the spiritual, as they correspond to such thoughts, will give people the opportunity to feel a healthy hunger. Even if one cannot feed people with a worldview, this still offers them the opportunity to find what corresponds to their soul, to seek what is appropriate for them, and to abhor what is not appropriate for them. Thoughts, which are images of the supersensible world, are the best digestive aid — even if this seems paradoxical — not because the powers of digestion are contained in thoughts, but because energetic thoughts awaken the powers that allow digestion to proceed in a regulated manner.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"Questions Regarding Health in Light of Spiritual Science","site_heading":null,"date":"1909-01-14","location":null,"word_count":151,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/57/1909-01-14/p037","alignment_confidence":"medium","alignment_reason":"beads:structural_identity","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"established","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"eLib2014","book_title":"Where and How Does One Find the Spirit?","publisher":null,"publisher_inferred":false,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA057/English/eLib2014/19090114p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line"},"edition_coverage":{"de":["original"],"en":["English"]},"available_versions":[{"lang":"de","edition":"original","edition_basis":null,"is_original":true,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/57/1909-01-14/p037"},{"lang":"en","edition":"English","edition_basis":null,"is_original":false,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/57/1909-01-14/p037","paragraph_aligned":true}],"record":{"record_type":"unknown","scope":"volume","note":"How this text was taken down (shorthand transcript, listeners' notes or manuscript) is not on record here.
