One day it will be recognized that only through Spiritual Science can human beings become true practitioners of life. Only those who can handle this life, who are not its slaves, are practitioners of life. Through their invisible limbs, human beings should always remain masters of their outer nature. Only by always being the leader of the physical can human beings become practitioners down to the last limb of their lives. The person who can understand what Fichte said, which is so often misunderstood, out of a true understanding of their limbs, is a practitioner of life. This will be the ideal of the human being when they again direct the visible from their invisible: “The human being can do what they should; and when they say, ‘I cannot,’ they do not want to.”","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"The Invisible Elements of Human Nature and Practical Life","site_heading":null,"date":"1909-02-18","location":null,"word_count":152,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/57/1909-02-18/p018","alignment_confidence":"medium","alignment_reason":"beads:structural_identity","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"established","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"eLib2014","book_title":"Where and How Does One Find the Spirit?","publisher":null,"publisher_inferred":false,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA057/English/eLib2014/19090218p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line"},"edition_coverage":{"de":["original"],"en":["English"]},"available_versions":[{"lang":"de","edition":"original","edition_basis":null,"is_original":true,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/57/1909-02-18/p018"},{"lang":"en","edition":"English","edition_basis":null,"is_original":false,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/57/1909-02-18/p018","paragraph_aligned":true}],"record":{"record_type":"unknown","scope":"volume","note":"How this text was taken down (shorthand transcript, listeners' notes or manuscript) is not on record here.
