Proof of this is that we are now in a position to build a college for spiritual science in Dornach near Basel, in the canton of Solothurn. The intention is not to concentrate spiritual science in one place; that must be made clear. Rather, it is to prove that we are able to show how spiritual science can be active, can be creative, through the creation of architectural, sculptural, and painterly forms and in the harmonization of these individual effects in such a building. This building should only serve as a model for the fact that spiritual science is capable of directly influencing life. Zeugnis dafür ist, daß wir immerhin in der Lage sind, eine Hochschule für Geisteswissenschaft in Dornach bei Basel, Kanton Solothurn, zu erbauen. Es ist damit nicht die Absicht vorhanden, die Geisteswissenschaft auf einen Ort zu konzentrieren; das muß durchaus zur Geltung gebracht werden. Sondern es soll damit der Beweis erbracht werden, daß wir in der Lage sind zu zeigen, wie die Geisteswissenschaft durch Schaffung von architektonischen, plastischen und malerischen Formen und in dem Zusammenstimmen dieser einzelnen Wirkungen in einem solchen Baue sich betätigen kann, schöpferisch sein kann. Es sollte mit diesem Bau nur ein Modell dafür gegeben sein, daß die Geisteswissenschaft das Leben unmittelbar anzufassen in der Lage ist.
