I would like to draw attention to the fact that this has happened to us several times recently, as it did there, that the person who only found the form of expression is presented as the great physicist, instead of the person who actually found the essence of the matter – Goethe. In accordance with a spiritual world view, Goethe discovered everything that is connected with the developmental theory of organisms. However, one must be borne by the spiritual, as he himself was, if one wants to see this spiritual world view as the natural developmental theory. For the spirit behind all sensuality, Goethe was strengthened, not weakened, by his natural developmental theory. But in many cases it was too difficult for humanity to understand the transformation of organisms in the Goethean way. People grasped it more easily when it was presented to them in a way that did not place such great demands on the intellect as in Darwin's account. And these things could still be applied to many, many more things.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"8. Und auf vieles, vieles könnten diese Dinge noch angewandt werden.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"word_count":167,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/64/1915-02-26/p043"}],"english":["GA 64/1915-02-26/p043"],"method":"identity","confidence":"high","correspondence":"established","length_check":{"de_words":167,"en_words":191,"ratio":1.14,"partial":false},"pairing_state":"verified","verified":true,"evidence":["length","meaning","audit"]},"witness_completeness":{"ratio":1.03,"band":"comparable","note":null,"word_count":11090,"original_word_count":10735,"may_be_abridged":false},"witness_quality":{"translator":{"scope":"unit","status":"recorded","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"SOL2024","book_title":"From a Fateful Time","publisher":"Steiner Online Library","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA064/English/SOL2024/19150226p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page.
