But something else peculiar about the Bible comes to light. A special feature of all religious documents is that they have an inspiring effect, so that we ourselves progress – modern literature does not have an inspiring effect, but rather a stifling one. And the Old Testament in particular has an inspiring effect. For a time this inspiration satisfies the occultist, but there remains a residue that can only be removed by a remedy: one of the Gospels or one of the letters of Paul or Peter. These are observations that anyone can make. We must be clear about the reason for the difference.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"56. Den Grund des Unterschiedes müssen wir uns klarmachen.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"word_count":98,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/68a/1910-11-29/p012"}],"english":["GA 68a/1910-11-29/p012"],"method":"identity","confidence":"high","correspondence":"established","length_check":{"de_words":98,"en_words":115,"ratio":1.17,"partial":false},"pairing_state":"verified","verified":true,"evidence":["length","meaning","anchors","audit"]},"witness_completeness":{"ratio":1.03,"band":"comparable","note":null,"word_count":1718,"original_word_count":1664,"may_be_abridged":false},"witness_quality":{"translator":{"scope":"unit","status":"recorded","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"SOL2024","book_title":"The Essence of Christianity","publisher":"Steiner Online Library","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA068a/English/SOL2024/19101129p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page.
