We see how this contemporary of Montaigne, the greatest modern doubter, seeks certainties borne inwardly by the deepest soul faculties in a purely spiritual, supersensible world, in a world of human inwardness, which he knows at the same time, because it is human inwardness, to be the inwardness of that which confronts us in the external world, in outer existence. The great affinity of that which man finds when he reaches most deeply into his inner being, with that which man finds when he roams most widely through the whole extent of outer existence, that is what Jakob Böhme wants to show, out of the German soul.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"1. Die große Verwandtschaft desjenigen, was der Mensch findet, wenn er am tiefsten hineingreift in sein Inneres, mit demjenigen, was der Mensch findet, wenn er am weitesten hinausschweift in den ganzen Umfang des äußeren Daseins, das will Jakob Böhme aufzeigen aus dem deutschen Gemüt heraus.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"word_count":116,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/70b/1915-11-25/p031"}],"english":["GA 70b/1915-11-25/p031"],"method":"identity","confidence":"high","correspondence":"established","length_check":{"de_words":116,"en_words":119,"ratio":1.03,"partial":false},"pairing_state":"verified","verified":true,"evidence":["length","meaning","anchors","audit"]},"witness_completeness":{"ratio":1.06,"band":"comparable","note":null,"word_count":13536,"original_word_count":12814,"may_be_abridged":false},"witness_quality":{"translator":{"scope":"unit","status":"recorded","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"SOL2024","book_title":"Ways to a Knowledge of the Eternal Forces of the Human Soul","publisher":"Steiner Online Library","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA070b/English/SOL2024/19151125p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page.
