And I myself would like to admit that, in my opinion, no other spirit should prevail in anthroposophy than that which has been trained through the scientific research of modern times, which, above all, has come to know the conscientious, exact methods of observation, experimentation and scientific thinking of the present day. However, when we speak of a kind of scientific preparation for anthroposophy, we are less concerned with the results - I would even say triumphant results - of modern science than with the spirit of training that which a person acquires when he learns to work scientifically, that is, experimentally and observantly, to gain a scientific view of the entities and facts of the world in a serious way.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"3. Dabei wird allerdings, wenn man also von einer Art von naturwissenschaftlicher Vorbereitung zur Anthroposophie spricht, weniger in Betracht gezogen, was als Ergebnisse - als triumphale Ergebnisse möchte ich sagen - der neueren Naturwissenschaft aufgetreten ist, als vielmehr gerade dieser Geist der Schulung, den sich der Mensch erwirbt, wenn er lernt, naturwissenschaftlich, das heißt experimentierend und beobachtend, ernst zu arbeiten, in ernster Art sich eine wissenschaftliche Anschauung von den Wesenheiten der Welt und von den Tatsachen der Welt zu erringen.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"word_count":160,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/75/1921-06-04_02/p008"}],"english":["GA 75/1921-06-04_02/p008"],"method":"identity","confidence":"high","correspondence":"established","length_check":{"de_words":160,"en_words":153,"ratio":0.96,"partial":false},"pairing_state":"verified","verified":true,"evidence":["length","meaning","audit"]},"witness_completeness":{"ratio":1.02,"band":"comparable","note":null,"word_count":9053,"original_word_count":8874,"may_be_abridged":false},"witness_quality":{"translator":{"scope":"unit","status":"recorded","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"SOL2024","book_title":"The Relationship between Anthroposophy and the Natural Sciences","publisher":"Steiner Online Library","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA075/English/SOL2024/19210604a01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page.
