For those who wanted to grapple with this significant riddle of life in the last third of the 19th century, this human phenomenon must have seemed in some way like a riddle of the times. By this human phenomenon, I mean Friedrich Nietzsche. For everyone in the last third of the 19th century, Friedrich Nietzsche was a human phenomenon who embodied what came to mind when one searched for the sources of knowledge of anthroposophical life. This is what is unique about Friedrich Nietzsche's personality: that, in a sense, his soul absorbed everything that could be experienced in the most outstanding worlds of thought and feeling that were pushing against agnosticism in the last third of the 19th century.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"Third Lecture","site_heading":"Freedom, Knowledge, and Spiritual Science's Answer","site_heading_note":"A heading the site wrote for this unit from a summary of it; not in the edition, and not the words of Rudolf Steiner or of the translator. Jahrhunderts erleben konnte.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"word_count":147,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/78/1921-08-31/p015"}],"english":["GA 78/1921-08-31/p015"],"method":"identity","confidence":"high","correspondence":"established","length_check":{"de_words":147,"en_words":156,"ratio":1.06,"partial":false},"pairing_state":"verified","verified":true,"evidence":["length","meaning","audit"]},"witness_completeness":{"ratio":1.03,"band":"comparable","note":null,"word_count":5586,"original_word_count":5401,"may_be_abridged":false},"witness_quality":{"translator":{"scope":"unit","status":"recorded","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"SOL2025","book_title":"Anthroposophy: Its Roots of Knowledge and Fruits of Life","publisher":"Steiner Online Library","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA078/English/SOL2025/19210831p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page.
