One does not begin to speculate on any viewpoints so as to determine whether or not the soul is immortal. Nothing can be expected from this, because that would be as though one had pulled oneself out of the dreams, out of the dream that had won enlightenment. One must awaken in order to educate himself about the dream. Now one can awaken in the deep silence of the soul to a higher stage and clarify what life on earth is. It is formed from that existence that he had gone through before the step through birth—or rather through conception—and the descent to this earthly existence.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"12.The Eternal Soul of Man From the Point of View of Anthroposophy","site_heading":null,"date":"1923-05-14","location":null,"word_count":117,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/80b/1923-05-14/p031","alignment_confidence":"low","alignment_reason":"count_diverges","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"not_established","translator":null,"identified_edition":"SOL2024","book_title":"The Inner Nature and Essence of the Human Soul","publisher":"Steiner Online Library","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA080b/English/SOL2024/19230514p01.html","evidence":null,"reason":"no_translator_named","note":"Neither the lecture's own page nor rsarchive's lecture list names a translator for it.
