It is easiest to read it in Earth states that lie far, far back, before the Earth became physical. It is much harder to read it in the Atlantean age, and hardest of all in post-Atlantean times. For the reader must carefully erase anything he knows of those times from his soul, so that it will not adulterate the record. It is therefore easier to investigate something that goes very far back, when no sense-perceptible images existed as yet.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"word_count":110,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/89/1905-03-27/p009","witness_quality":{"translator":{"scope":"unit","status":"recorded","translator":"Anna Meuss","identified_edition":"CMP2001","book_title":"Awareness—Life—Form","publisher":null,"publisher_inferred":false,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA089/English/CMP2001/19050327p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line"},"entity_parity":{"status":"not_checkable","note":"No verified paragraph alignment covers this passage, so its names cannot be compared with the German."},"note":"quote_safe certifies the bytes of this text. If, for instance, someone has lived in Roman times—let us assume Virgil.[^3] When we perceive Virgil in the akashic record, he is like a living image, like real life; it is like a recapitulation of life itself. You can see Virgil’s life take its course again; it is a true reproduction of what happened at the time. If you put a question to this image, it will answer the way Virgil might possibly have been able to answer. Swedenborg[^4] talked with this akasha image of Virgil.[^5] The Virgil individual himself has gone through a different further development of his own. Someone who is not able to make clear distinctions may confuse these things.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"word_count":129,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/89/1905-03-27/p010","witness_quality":{"translator":{"scope":"unit","status":"recorded","translator":"Anna Meuss","identified_edition":"CMP2001","book_title":"Awareness—Life—Form","publisher":null,"publisher_inferred":false,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA089/English/CMP2001/19050327p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line"},"entity_parity":{"status":"not_checkable","note":"No verified paragraph alignment covers this passage, so its names cannot be compared with the German."},"note":"quote_safe certifies the bytes of this text.
