The parts before and after the baptism can be distinguished as higher and highest. Mark and John therefore tell us only about the highest forms in which the Christ appears to us. The three degrees of discipleship can be distinguished up to the baptism. But then a real transmutation of the being of Jesus takes place through the Christ. This Christ nature is identical with that which is called God in all religions and is often also called the Father Nature. Up to the age of thirty, we have to understand Jesus as every other initiate. But from that point on, the Christ-entity enters into him, and from that point on, the Jesus-Christ personality acquires a cosmological significance.
