It concerns the German theosophical philosopher Jakob Böhme and can be found in any Jakob Böhme biography.[^3] As a boy he was apprenticed to a shoemaker. One day the master and his wife had gone out. They had told him not to sell anything, but merely look after the shop. Someone came in who made a deep impression on the boy. The stranger wanted to buy something but Jakob was not permitted to sell him anything. When the man had gone, Jakob heard his name called. He went to the door and the man said to him: ‘Jakob, you’re small now but one day you'll be great. You'll be someone people will be amazed at.’ This man gave the impulse for the things Jakob Böhme later wrote about.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"VI. — Dieser Mann hat den Anstoß zu dem gegeben, was in Jakob Böhmes Schriften enthalten ist.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"word_count":134,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/96/1906-10-08/p011"}],"english":["GA 96/1906-10-08/p010"],"method":"length","confidence":"high","correspondence":"established","length_check":{"de_words":134,"en_words":136,"ratio":1.01,"partial":false},"pairing_state":"proposed","verified":false},"witness_completeness":{"ratio":1.15,"band":"comparable","note":null,"word_count":6420,"original_word_count":5599,"may_be_abridged":false},"witness_quality":{"translator":{"scope":"unit","status":"recorded","translator":"Anna Meuss","identified_edition":"CMP2001","book_title":"Original Impulses fo the Science of the Spirit","publisher":null,"publisher_inferred":false,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA096/English/CMP2001/19061008p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line"},"entity_parity":{"status":"ok","checked_against":["GA 96/1906-10-08/p011"],"missing_from_translation":[],"present_only_in_translation":[],"bead_confidence":"high","note":"Every load-bearing name in the German counterpart appears in this English passage.
