In his astral vision it would always be the Lord himself who appeared to John. In the talk with Nicodemus we hear what was to happen to John. The Lord put things very clearly. Nicodemus did not at first understand him. It is John himself who needed to understand; it was explained to him in the vision that it was a matter of killing off the lower human being, with the higher human being coming alive. He gradually understood who Jesus actually was; that the powers of the world's origin, the father of the world, were alive in him. This is why we then have the words Jesus said about the father. The occult powers Jesus possessed appeared to John as an astral reflection of the actual events. John was thus learning the most profound truths through the Lord himself.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"III. So lernt Johannes durch den Herrn selbst die tiefsten Wahrheiten kennen.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"word_count":149,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/97/1906-02-12/p020"}],"english":["GA 97/1906-02-12/p020"],"method":"length","confidence":"high","correspondence":"established","length_check":{"de_words":149,"en_words":150,"ratio":1.01,"partial":false},"pairing_state":"proposed","verified":false},"witness_completeness":{"ratio":1.14,"band":"comparable","note":null,"word_count":2352,"original_word_count":2056,"may_be_abridged":false},"witness_quality":{"translator":{"scope":"unit","status":"recorded","translator":"Anna Meuss","identified_edition":"CMP2000","book_title":"The Christian Mystery","publisher":null,"publisher_inferred":false,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA097/English/CMP2000/19060212p02.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line"},"entity_parity":{"status":"discrepancy","checked_against":["GA 97/1906-02-12/p020"],"missing_from_translation":["Christ"],"present_only_in_translation":[],"bead_confidence":"high","bead_length_ratio":1.01,"likely_cause":"unresolved","note":"NAME MISMATCH between this English passage and its German counterpart. A name the German carries is absent here (or a name appears here that the German does not carry).
