Where-ever this is the case, one of the two opinions is wrong. Wisdom is something unified—a oneness—which cannot contain differences. The more individualised human beings become, the more they will need this wisdom; for, through it, they will be drawn together. To-day, we are living in an age of transition. The principle of different viewpoints ceases entirely, through the progressive development of Wisdom. The more individualised men become, the wiser they must grow; for knowledge will lead them together. This is the Spirit of Wisdom which Christ-Jesus his promised to His followers. The Sun of Wisdom draws into itself all differing standpoints—just as the sun attracts the plants. The Spirit which will make men free, is the Holy Ghost. Against this Spirit, no Christian may ever sin. For he who sins against it, sins against Christianity itself—against that promised Spirit which is able to draw together all separate human individualities.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"The Sin Against the Holy Ghost and the Ideal of Christian Grace","site_heading":null,"date":"1907-03-17","location":null,"word_count":159,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/97/1907-03-17/p038","alignment_confidence":"high","alignment_reason":"beads:length","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"not_established","translator":null,"identified_edition":"Singles","book_title":"The Christian Mystery","publisher":null,"publisher_inferred":false,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA097/English/Singles/19070317p01.html","evidence":null,"reason":"source_says_translator_unknown","note":"The source page itself says the translator is unknown.
