All memory of what the spirit experiences here is erased. Only indifference to the whole world fills Capesius then. He feels human beings around him, but their language is foreign to him. He hears only words, among which are others that he cannot comprehend. The words he understands remind him of his spiritual home, and they become meaningful to him. Then he is in his world for a while, but soon he must return to the dungeon. Only through some words spoken by humans does he gain the strength to find his way back to the spiritual realms. I live here in constant fear of the times that force me to earth. And I must long for the moment that can sever my connection with this earth.
