Record: listeners' notes. Written from listeners' notes, summaries, or memory rather than a shorthand transcript. The wording is the note-taker's as much as Steiner's: weigh a single striking phrase here far more cautiously than the same phrase in a stenographic volume, and do not rest an argument on one word. Evidence: «Da keine professionellen Stenogramme vorliegen, handelt es sich oftmals um notizenhaft festgehaltene Zusammenfassungen oder Berichte.» (Since no professional shorthand transcripts exist, these are often summaries or reports kept in the form of notes.). The publisher's description of the volume, as mirrored on AnthroWiki (GA 68b). The translation is the maintainer's, not a published one.
Physical processes are only the expression of spiritual processes. We regard this work of the astral body only as a latecomer to significant events of the past. In today's man, the astral body works from the outside for about a third of the day. Going back in time, it worked outside the body for a much longer time, when it did not have time to remove fatigue, but worked to reshape the form. At that time it shaped the imperfect body. But even if it only worked for a short time inside the body, it still had a powerful effect on the transformation of the physical body. In the beginning it was still completely an astral body.
